Neil McGregor, Senior Consultant at Human Synergistics talks about having a fixed mindset or having an open mind-flex at the 2015 NZ Conference.

Mindset /maɪnd set/ n. 1. habits of mind formed by earlier events

Mind-flex / maɪnd fleks / n. & v. 1. having the ability to view ideas incompatible with current mind-set and to see new opportunities

Do you agree or disagree with the following?
1.You are a certain kind of person and there is not much that can be done to really change that.
2.No matter what kind of person you are, you can always change substantially.
3.You can do things differently, but the important parts of who you are can’t really be changed.
4.You can always change basic things about the kind of person you are.

If you agreed with 1 and 3 you tend towards more of a fixed mindset
•If you agreed with 2 and 4 you tend towards more of a mindflex state.
•If 1 and 2 you’re confused!
