In 1971, J. Clayton Lafferty, Ph.D., set out to provide groundbreaking yet accessible leadership development tools to HR professionals. Dr. Lafferty’s original clock-like model fueled the development of one of the first 360 feedback tools, the Life Styles Inventory™. After modifying the clock and renaming it the "Circumplex," Robert A. Cooke, Ph.D., joined Clay in developing an integrated diagnostic system, starting with the Organizational Culture Inventory.
